High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord - Bridgestone is the first manufacturer to use 5 single steel filaments in an MSB cord. These 5 steel filaments are openly spaced and twisted in a rubber coating that ensures equal and constant tension. This new rubber insulated cord (HTSPC) more than achieves its targets in terms of stiffness, flexibility and shock absorption. Tyres featuring HTSPC have increased grip in wet and dry along with improved handling thanks to consistent contact pressure. The rubber insulated cord avoids oxidation and reduces heat generation for more even wear and higher mileage.

Mono Spiral Belt - All rear Bridgestone Battlax radial tyres are constructed using MSB, which ensures straight-line stability, shock absorption and overall performance. MSB construction means that a continuous single strand of Kevlar or HTSPC is wrapped around the circumference of the tyre. This one-piece construction eliminates the overlapping of belts, seams and joints, Thereby reducing unsprung weight. Since MSB constructed tyres generate less heat within the tyre, stability is optimised and shock absorption is maximised.

Cap/Base - The softer outer compound is derived from our MotoGP tyre development and gives high levels of grip. The inner, harder compound gives appropriate tread stiffness. The harder base compound is not exposed as the tyre wears out, so riders will not be caught out by riding on a tyre where the compound in contact with the road gradually gets harder.

Silica Rich Compound - Bridgestone's Silica Rich compound offers enhanced grip in wet conditions and low temperatures, ensuring excellent handling from the moment the motorcycle starts moving. The Silica Rich compound also provides more consistent and longer lasting grip.

Straight And Cornering Technology - Battlax BT-021, BT92 and BT45 rear tyres and the new BT002 Racing Street front tyre utilise Bridgestone's dual compound construction method known as SACT. By combining two different rubber compounds these tyres deliver long-wearing durability when ridden upright, along with aggressive shoulder grip when cornering. These features make the BT92 and BT45 the perfect choice for sporting riders looking for good mileage and value for money.

3D Comprehensive Tyre Design Method - 3D CTDM is Bridgestone's latest automated tyre design technology. This cutting edge program enables Bridgestone to conduct dynamic, three-dimensional simulations and analysis of all aspects of tyre performance.
Tread patterns are designed using 3D CTDM, incorporating smoother curves to minimise hydroplaning in wet conditions. Front tyre patterns are also designed to maximise high-speed stability and minimise vibration. Rear tyre patterns are developed to have a high negative ratio to increase cornering grip and stability.
Tyre profiles are optimised using 3D CTDM to give quicker and lighter handling in tight corners.
3D CTDM designed profiles maximise lateral stiffness for improved grip and maintain linear contact pressure at all lean angles for smooth handling.

OBF - Outside Bead Filler in addition to the normal bead filler, gives appropriate stiffness for both shock absorption & high speed stability in touring and sports riding applications.

3-Layer Compound (3LC) technology is a centre compound for linear handling and longer wear life, flanked by a shoulder compound to secure high grip and a strong contact feeling.

5-Layer Compound (5LC) technology is used for the first time on a street tyre. The hard compound in the centre tread area gives good stability and higher mileage. The medium compound on shoulders transfers the engine power to the road with strong traction when powering out of corners. The soft compound on the edges provides strong side grip and a massive contact feeling at deep lean angles. The line holding feels almost like riding on a rail.
